Tuesday 20 May 2025 Yr 6 visit to the Buddhist Temple 2025 As part of our on- going programme to build resilience and independence, the children caught the bus to the Buddhist temple in Wolverhampton today. They got to learn about buddhism and see how they worship.

Monday 19 May 2025 Yr 3's tie dye art work Year 3 had a great afternoon creating their tie dye t-shirts. The children learnt how to create different patterns by folding the t-shirts in different ways. We are looking forward to seeing the results tomorrow.

Monday 19 May 2025 Superhero Day for Yr 1 Year 1 have had an amazing Superhero Day today! They have made their own emblems and shields, designed and created masks and even completed a superhero workout this afternoon!

Sunday 18 May 2025 Nursery Success Thank you all so much for voting for Blakeley Bears at the Bridge Manor Avery Community Awards. We received an amazing 783 votes, it was very much appreciated! Our first Blakeley Bear Nursery cohort are now our Year 6 leavers! As a school, we love to watch our children learn and grow in confidence from Nursery to Year 6!

Thursday 15 May 2025 Trip to Parliament The school councillors visited Parliament last week. They had a tour around the House of Commons and they got to listen to a debate in the House of Lords. It was such an amazing and memorable experience. Our pupils continue to make us so proud with their impeccable manners and inquisitive minds.

Thursday 8 May 2025 VE Day Celebrations We had a wonderful day commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The children learnt about the importance of VE Day and their role in keeping the memories alive for future generations. All of the children contributed to our VE Day artwork and decorated their own VE Day biscuit which they enjoyed at our Blakeley street party.

Monday 5 May 2025 Yr 3 science workshop Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who joined the year 3 children for their science workshop. The children learnt about the parts of the plant and their function by dissecting some tulips.

Wednesday 9 April 2025 Yr 4 visit to the Mandir Year 4 had a fantastic time getting on a public bus to the Shree Krishna Hindu Temple in Wolverhampton. They enjoyed asking lots of questions about Hinduism and showing off their learning from lessons.

Friday 4 April 2025 Visit to the Mosque Year 3 have had a fantastic morning at Jamia Masjid Aqsa Mosque in Wolverhampton. We have explored all areas of the Mosque and learnt more about Muslim beliefs and practises. The children were all very respectful and amazed the Mosque leader with their knowledge of Islam and thoughtful questions. :

Tuesday 1 April 2025 Easter Experience Many thanks to Rev Julia, Sarah Mullen and the volunteers who helped our Yr 1-Yr 6 pupils enjoy their Easter Experience and learn more about the significance of this Christian festival. We are very proud of their impeccable manners and inquisitive minds.

Wednesday 26 March 2025 Wombourne Music Festival 2025 We have been invited to sing again at the Wombourne Music Festival on Thurs 19th June from 1.30pm-2.30pm. We have had lots of volunteers and the children, who expressed an interest, should have brought home a letter with them today. If your child would like a letter, please see Mrs Hood.

Tuesday 18 March 2025 Extra Curricular Opportunities Did you know we are running 13 free extra curricular clubs this half term? Our school is one of few which has this many free opportunities for children. Our musical theatre club has over 35 members from Yr 3-Yr 6. The children and staff are working hard to put together some musical numbers from Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, The Lion King, Wicked and many more. We can't wait to see your performance.

Thursday 6 March 2025 World Book Day 2025 We have had a wonderful World Book Day today. The children have participated in a range of book related activities; they have received a free book; they have listened to some lovely stories; they have received a book voucher and they have all dressed up. The staff got dressed up too.

Wednesday 5 March 2025 Proud Day for TEAM BH Every day we are proud to be part of TEAM BH and today is no different. Well done to the children who performed in our whole school music assembly. Then after school our girl's football team won a tournament against local schools...undefeated against tough opposition! Thank you to staff and parents for your support.
