Thursday 20 November 2025 Children in Need 2025 On Friday the school council organised a brilliant day of "Challenge 25" activities for Children in Need. We raised a massive £831 pounds so far and still have money coming in, look out for our grand total! Well done Team Blakeley! Our Nursery children enjoyed Pudsey themed activities and made a spotty biscuit! #nursery #wombourne

Thursday 20 November 2025 Fun in Reception Our Reception children are celebrating Kipper's birthday this week. So far they have completed a variety of birthday themed activities from making playdough birthday cakes and counting out the candles, to acting out the story and matching the correct birthday present to the correct label. There is still so much more learning to do the rest of the week! #receptioneyfs #wombourne

Sunday 16 November 2025 Yr 3 Flint and Fire Residential Our year 3 pupils have returned from a 2 day residential at Laches Wood. They participated in a range of activities for their Flint and Fire experience.

Sunday 9 November 2025 Remembrance Sunday Miss Richard and some year 6 volunteers represented Blakeley at St Benedict Biscop church this morning to lay a wreath at the memorial in the church yard.

Friday 31 October 2025 Autumn Disco success Thank you to the parents and teachers of the PTA who gave our pupils an amazing time at the school disco on Fri. We raised over £700. Next event- Christmas Fair on 5th Dec. Letter coming out after half term.

Sunday 26 October 2025 Parent Questionnaire 2025 Thank you for taking the time to complete our parent questionnaire. We had 113 responses which is our highest return and we also had an increase in free text responses. This feedback is essential for us to continue improving as a school and enables us to ensure we continue to do the things which are important to you and your family.

Sunday 5 October 2025 Wombourne Scarecrow Festival Well done to Blakeley Bears Nursery for their excellent entry to the Kingsway Church Scarecrow Hunt.

Sunday 5 October 2025 Reception Bake Off Reception have gone all ‘Bake off' this week. After reading the story ‘The little red hen' we've been finding out all about bread and how it is made. The highlight on Friday was Mrs Smith demonstrating how to make bread. The children were then very eager to mix, knead and shape to make their own bread rolls to take home. They all looked delicious. We hope you enjoyed eating them.

Monday 29 September 2025 Victorian Experience Our Yr 6 pupils visited the Black Country Living Museum today. They participated in some lessons based on the 3Rs in school; they had a go on the rides at the fairground; and many of them bought sweets and cakes from the shops.

Monday 29 September 2025 Extra Curricular clubs-board games This half term we have a key Stage 1 board games club happening on a Thursday 3.30-4.30 The children are all having a wonderful time learning and playing games with their friends.

Wednesday 24 September 2025 Tooth Dinosaur visits Yr 1 Year 1 had a special visit from NHS dental nurses yesterday! They taught us all about how to take care of our teeth, including which foods and drinks are good (and not so good!) for keeping our smiles healthy. The children listened really well, asked lots of thoughtful questions, and enjoyed learning about dental hygiene in a fun and engaging way!

Saturday 13 September 2025 New Bikes for EYFS We have had an amazing delivery this week!! We have received brand new trikes and scooters! Reception were eager to get outside and try them and have really enjoyed riding them!
