Personal, Social and Health Education

At Blakeley Heath Primary School, we aim to promote healthy, independent and responsible members of society. We encourage all our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through class & school councils, fundraising events, supporting nominated charities and involvement in community activities.

Our pupils are follow lessons from curriculum set by the PHSE Association. It enables us to develop pupils’ knowledge, skills and understanding based on the three core themes of the Programme of Study for PSHE education: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world.

In addition, pupils are given opportunities to develop confidence, self-motivation and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within our diverse society through class assemblies, extra curricula clubs, class discussions, and school council meetings.

It is our aim to prepare the children for life and work in modern Britain.
