Teaching & Learning

Through the links on this page, you can investigate the teaching and learning opportunities in each year group across school. Children are enthused and excited by the learning opportunities they have and we are very proud of the work the children produce linked to our creative curriculum.

During the school closures,  we understand that this causes additional pressures on parents and families. If you are concerned about the welfare of a child, please contact us or phone one of the numbers below.

Covid fact sheet for parents April edition

Over this period various agencies have made resources to support parents and children who may have been struggling because of COVID-19 and other issues.
Attached is a list of workshops that you can attend virtually:
If you feel any of these are of use to you the posters attached will advise you on how to sign up.
The local authority has also published the following resources:
  • Transitions – using knowledge and skills of Educational Psychologists to support schools and educational settings to develop their transition plans for children and young people returning to school and facing key transitions in their schooling. This is a resource signposting educational professionals, children, young people and their parents or carers to useful and practical guidance, advice, information, resources and tools that can help support transitions such as; transitioning from early years settings to starting reception, from primary to secondary schooling and experiencing any other type of transition that is likely to be disrupted following COVID-19.  These materials are available now  on the website. https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/Education/Access-to-learning/Graduated-response/EPS-COVID-19-recovery-materials/Covid-19-materials.aspx

  • Resilience – support to respond to the emotional needs of children and young people as a result if COVID-19.  Loss of routine, structure and friendships could trigger anxiety and trauma in any child.  Leaflets have been developed which contain information on how to enhance pupil’s, parent’s and staff’s resilience in light of Covid-19.  Leaflets are being developed for KS1, KS2, KS3/4, parents and staff. The leaflets will include strategies and signposting to additional online resources.  Materials will be available through the Graduated Response Toolkit by 1st September at the latest. https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/Education/Access-to-learning/Graduated-response/EPS-COVID-19-recovery-materials/Covid-19-materials.aspx

Links to these resources are available on our website or you can contact us for support.
