Last week, the year 6 children had a fabulous week at Shugborough Outdoor Activity Centre where they participated in a range of activities from caving to canoeing, climbing to archery and lots more. The children were a credit to the school and they all showed great courage, skill and perseverance throughout the week. The beautiful weather helped too. The week culminated in a camp fire with the Blakeley song being sung to the other schools. Definitely a week to remember.
Y2 have loved completing our Wriggle and Crawl topic by making minibeasts. What a creative bunch we’ve got!
We look forward to our DT afternoon making castles with working drawbridges for our Towers, Turrets and Tunnels topic this half term.
Year 5 Cricket Success
Congratulations to the Year 5 cricket team for a fantastic performance today. The team came 2nd in their group then went on to beat St Benedicts in the play off, qualifying for the next round in June. Special thanks to Mrs Harkness for all her hard work and to the parents that came along to support.
