Blakeley Bears

Child Care for Children aged 3 to 11

From September 2017, Blakeley Bears will be running a nursery class, for children aged 3 and over, alongside the reception classes in school. Information can be obtained from the school office.

The wrap-a-round club is governor run and offers a high quality childcare facility – before and after school. Such a facility is known as an ‘Out of School Club’ because it offers children a safe, stimulating environment outside of school hours. The club is not open access. Children must be registered with the Blakeley Heath Before and After School Care Club and be collected by either parents or carers.

The main aim of the club is to help children develop their full potential through positive Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative and Emotional (SPICE) experiences by providing a happy, stable and secure environment where parents and carers feel confident to leave their children.

The wrap-around club also seeks to maintain high standards at all times and to recognise values deriving from different backgrounds i.e. racial, cultural, religious and linguistic.

The staff provide a structured framework while at the same time endeavouring to ensure equal opportunity by meeting the needs of each individual, e.g. disability and gender.
